Take Back Control of Your Food and Your Health.
Live with More Purpose. And Feel More Alive
and Connected to What Matters.
It all starts September 11, 2023.
Imagine going grocery shopping… in your own abundant pantry.
Or getting 3 squares on the table, every day, with systematic ease and less stress.
Imagine growing more organic food in less space, with less weeding and maintenance.
More tomato. Less tomato leaf.
And eating straight from your garden, earlier and later in the year than you do now.
Imagine raising your own clean, sustainable, healthy meat.
And butchering it yourself – customizing the cuts – without messing it up…
Imagine building generational health through Traditional Foods Cooking techniques. And forks, high in the air in anticipation, as you bring dinner to the table…
Imagine a homesteading life… from anywhere (city, suburbs, or acreage) without homesteading taking over the rest of your life.
Going to soccer practice, or to your 9-5, or on vacation, and still enjoying the power of intentional living…
Reaping the health benefits of homesteading, without creating too much work, and too much stress, on your aging body…
Using the resources you have, instead of buying expensive feed and other inputs…
And creating a homestead that’s more efficient, and works for YOU.
You can do all of this. We can help.
Make modern life more meaningful, and homesteading more achievable.
Grow food, raise livestock, cook from your own garden, and preserve your food… in ways that work for YOUR lifestyle!
Live a more intentional,
healthier life with Traditional Skills
Imagine if you could have all of what we just described.
The truth is, you can. Not all at once. And not immediately. But it’s all doable.
And the Traditional Skills Summit will teach you how to move towards the life you want.
Of course, we’d never promise that homesteading is super simple and easy. Anyone who does isn’t being honest.
Cooking traditional foods from scratch will never be as simple as using the takeout app. Tending to your garden will never be as easy as binging on Netflix. Feeding your chickens just won’t be as mindless as swiping and scrolling.
And teaching kids to collect eggs properly, and to preserve the harvest, is definitely harder than parking them in front of a video game.
Yep. It’s all a little bit harder than the easy way, the modern way, the way that has turned people sedentary and complacent.
And that, to us, is a good thing.
But while gardening, cooking from scratch, and preserving the harvest aren’t the easy paths, there are ways to make those activities simpler, more efficient, and just plain easier to accomplish.
We’ll show you how, starting September 11th, 2023!
Are you ready to eat better, be happier, and feel more alive – with systems and mindsets that make homesteading work for YOU?
Then join us at the FREE Traditional Skills Summit, where every speaker is a true expert.

My wife, Carolyn, and I live on a 40-acre homestead in Idaho and are parents to 11 beautiful children.
Returning to our roots changed our life. Naturally, we’re ridiculously passionate about sharing these old-fashioned skills with others who want to simplify their modern lives.
You see, those of us pursuing resiliency are a little bit different – we're independent thinkers. At the same time, we know learning from those who have gone before, just makes good, practical sense.
We thrive around others who see things as we do. Community and connection make life easier.
This event is our way of bringing both to your living room! 15 much-loved and widely respected experts in one (virtual) room so you can learn from them without joining multiple classes or spending hundreds of dollars.

BEST PART?

The Traditional Skills Summit is the perfect event for you if:
You are a lifelong learner who always wants to know more! You enjoy gardening, cooking real, whole foods, preserving the harvest, and/or making herbal remedies and want to level up your game! Homestead butchering? More natural beekeeping? Bring it on!
You’ve been homesteading for a while. You LOVE the lifestyle, but sometimes find it overwhelming. You need systems and pathways that make homesteading work for you, so that it’s easier, more streamlined, and more enjoyable!
You panicked when the grocery shelves went bare in 2020 – you weren’t prepared for that. You’ve picked up a few skills, but you don’t have land yet and are wondering what else you can do to become more resilient in your backyard (or on your balcony!)…
You’re eager to learn more about homesteading, but sometimes get intimidated by ALL the skills to learn… (Hint: focus on the cooking and herbal talks.)
You want to learn from TRUE experts – not just self-appointed ones 😉 – AND fast-track your skills. (PSST! These renowned experts are generously giving their time – for FREE!)
Wherever you are in your journey, you’ll walk away from The Traditional Skills Summit with renewed confidence, lots of motivation, and a deeper understanding of how to weave these skills into a happier, more authentic lifestyle.
“If this is so great… why is it FREE?”
(Answers to this and other questions you may have!)
-
Why is this event free?
Honestly? Because we want as many people as possible to learn Traditional Skills.
We’re not talking about basket weaving or spoon carving – although those are totally legitimate and noble skills to learn (after you master the basics we cover first!).
Think about it: if more people ate better, there might just be less disease in our society.
If more people got out in the sunshine and gardened, instead of locking their eyes onto artificial light all day, there might just be less depression. Think about the implications of THAT!
If more people cooked real food, and shared it with others, there might be a better sense of community. More gardens would mean fewer food deserts. More people raising their own meat would mean less factory farm cruelty, and less meat grown in labs. (Yup, it’s a thing. Coming to a store and restaurant near you.)
So that’s why we’re offering this for free. (And why we’re including lots of free giveaways!)
Will we take a few minutes here and there during the Summit to tell you about our classes at the School of Traditional Skills? Sure! You’re here because you want to know some of these skills, so why not share ways to go deeper? But you’re never obligated to purchase anything.
-
What skill level should I be at to attend this event?
Any and all!
There will be tips that the newcomer will find enormously helpful.
And there will be some talks that are probably better suited for someone who’s either got a little experience under his or her belt, or who is heading that way. Joel Salatin will talk about pastures. Might not work for someone in New York City, but it sure helps if you have, or plan to have, animals!
Many classes work for all skill levels. Even if you don’t keep bees, and never plan to, when you learn about more natural beekeeping, you’ll be a better informed consumer of honey.
Likewise, everyone can benefit from a more efficient kitchen. From systems that help you get food on the table more easily. And from integrating traditional techniques into your cooking.
And everyone can learn something new about gardening.
That said, even if you live in a highrise, tune in to Brandon Sheard’s talk on Becoming a Home Butcher. You don’t have to process meat to learn how different cuts work in the kitchen.
Come to as many talks as you can! You’re sure to get something out of them.
-
What if I can’t attend the sessions LIVE? Will I get the recordings?
Yes! You will have access to the recordings for a few days after the event.
If you become a Member of the School of Traditional Skills, you can access to them for as long as you want. (And you’ll get last year’s recordings, too!)
You do have to be present to qualify for any prizes we give away during a session. But other than that, you’re good!
Do I have to sign up with the School of Traditional Skills to attend the Summit?
Nope! (But if you do, you get a big discount during the Summit!)
-
Do I have to sign up to the School of Traditional Skills to attend the event?

-
If I sign up for the free summit, and decide I want lifetime access to the recordings, can I get that later?
