Day 1 - Finding Your Homestead Rhythm

Most new homesteaders begin already tired. They’re juggling work, family, laundry, meals, and the invisible mental load. No wonder it’s hard to add “grow food” or “preserve meals” on top of it.

Today you’ll learn how to:

  • Identify where your overwhelm is really coming from
  • Choose simple, realistic goals for this season of life
  • Build a daily and weekly rhythm that keeps you moving forward without drowning you
  • Stop comparing your beginning to someone else’s tenth year
  • Replace perfection with peace

You’ll walk away feeling grounded and clear - with a homesteading plan that fits your home, your energy, and your capacity.

Day 2: Setting Your Homestead Kitchen Up for Success

The kitchen is the heart of the homestead — long before the garden or pantry shelves catch up.

Today you’ll learn how to make your kitchen work with your rhythm instead of constantly fighting against it.

We’ll cover:

  • How to source and store basic ingredients on a budget
  • Simple pantry-building habits that save money and reduce stress
  • Meal systems that remove the 5 pm panic
  • How to cook from what you have (instead of what you wish you had)
  • How seasonal eating boosts nutrition and lowers grocery bills
  • Simple, nourishing meals you can make even on your busiest days

You’ll leave Day Two with a kitchen that feels calm, organized, and doable, not chaotic.

Day 3: Mastering Indoor & Outdoor Gardening

From jars of sprouts on the kitchen counter to container-grown tomatoes on a balcony, gardening is possible anywhere. Today we’ll dig into:

  • Growing microgreens and superfood sprouts.
  • Container gardening hacks and how to get the most production in a small space.
  • Tips for those who do have a yard, including simple raised beds and cottage garden planning.

You’ll walk away with that “I can do this” spark - no matter your living situation!

Day 4: Everyday Food Preservation - Your Key to Resilience

Food preservation is about more than stretching a grocery budget (although it certainly helps with that!)—it’s about creating stability and peace of mind. On Day 4, I’ll guide you through:

  • The best methods for safely preserving food, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro.
  • How to save hundreds on groceries by preserving foods you love - and will actually use.
  • Building a resilient pantry that can carry you through tough times, whether it’s a busy work week or a long-term setback.

Day 5: Becoming Your Family’s Home Herbalist

Don’t let the word herbalist scare you. Herbal remedies have been used for centuries to help with everything from the common cold to managing stress. Here’s what to expect today:

  • A universal blueprint for using herbs in your home safely and effectively.
  • My personal herbal protocol that I use in my own home with my 11 kids.
  • The remedies I always have stocked in my herbal medicine cabinet.

This is the day last year’s attendees said changed their confidence the most!
