This being only our second year in this neglected garden space, there was a lot of rehabilitation that was needed. We didn't want to be battling weeds for years to come, so we implemented some strategies and are now sharing how well they worked out!

For the longest time, I struggled with consistent germination for my carrot seeds. Until I learned this hack that made growing carrots much more successful with a nearly 100% germination rate.

The biggest tip I have to share is to get into your garden EVERY SINGLE DAY! Your feet, hands, and eyes are your biggest assets to know how your garden is doing from day to day, catch any issues BEFORE they get too bad, and ultimately grow your best garden.

This is especially important as you're testing out growing different varieties (as you'll see with our garlic) to know which varieties do well and which ones you may not want to plant again.

Composting can seem like a mystery. Some people throw everything in a pile and let it break down over time, on the other spectrum, some folks get very technical with ratios, temperature and timing.
