The snow is giving way to reveal the earth in many areas of the homestead, but we’re still not out of the woods in regards to snow and freezing temperatures quite yet. We have the plant starts going strong inside the house while the garden is still covered in a thin blanket of snow.

If you missed our previous State of the Homestead episodes, where we discussed how 2025 is a year of rest for us, what’s happening on the homestead in January and what’s happening on the homestead in February, be sure to check those out. Otherwise, enjoy today’s podcast episode below!
We want to say thank you to today’s podcast sponsor, ForJars. Some of our favorite go-to products in the kitchen are from ForJars, especially their vacuum sealer for jars! We use it all the time with our freeze-dried foods to keep that seal tight and our food preserved for the longest amount of time possible.
