This homemade poultry seasoning recipe is the perfect blend of herbs and spices to top your whole roasted chicken, turkey or other poultry! With common ingredients like thyme, sage, rosemary, marjoram, parsley and black pepper, this is one seasoning blend you’ll come back to again and again.

Since we raise meat chickens here at Riverbend, we’re eating a lot of roasted chicken throughout the year. Our chickens are pasture-raised in a mobile chicken tractor and are fed homemade fermented chicken feed for better health.
Since we have such a large family, we’re usually eating four chickens at a time, so that’s a lot of chickens to raise for a year’s worth of meat. You might be wondering how much land is needed to raise a year’s worth of meat and how we store a year’s worth of food. Those posts will answer that question, which may surprise you!
